I created this logo with the intention that it will represent who I am as a healer and also my culture (Kiskeya (Mother of all Lands) - Dominican Republic) and my family. I was very intentional with choosing the colors, symbols, and design.
Significance of Each Symbol
The spiral is a common symbol found in Taino art. It is a representation of cosmic energy and its unendingness. It is also representative of sweet water. The spiral is a symbol of both material and immaterial concepts and objects.

The second symbol represents mother Atabey. Mother Atabey is an ancestral mother of the Taino, one of the supreme ancestral spirits in Taino. She symbolizes fertility, mother goddess and creator, goddess of the moon, freshwater and she is also known as the goddess of beauty and music as well. Just another way to refer to Mother Earth.

Bees are very powerful and spiritual creatures and have many meanings. Bees are often seen as symbols of hard work, community, and service to others. Bees are often seen as symbols of fertility and prosperity.

Lastly, the background of the logo. The oregano plant, which is very sacred in my family and my grandmothers favorite medicinal plant, which also became mine. I absolutely love the way it smells. Oregano's name comes from the Greek words oros, meaning mountain, and ganos, meaning joy. Oregano has also been used as a remedy since ancient times, and has been used as a spice for only 300-400 years. Oregano brings protection, happiness, visions, love and healing.
